Angela聽Beness聽has聽progressed聽her career from Centre聽Manager聽at Papilio聽Early Learning聽Camberwell聽to Quality Advisor for the state of Victoria.
To fill the Centre Manager role left at Papilio Camberwell, Darren Halim has been promoted after having a wealth of experience in the Assistant Centre Manager role at Papilio Ashburton.
We sat聽down to chat with Angela to learn more about聽her new role and聽how聽she聽got to where聽she is聽today.
What鈥檚 your experience in the Early Childhood Education Industry?聽
I have worked in the Early Childhood industry for 15 years and progressed in my career starting as a Lead Educator before moving into Vocational Education and Training and more recently in my role as a Centre Manager.
I hold my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and Cert IV in Training and Assessment. I am passionate about the importance of quality early education and I am particularly interested in advocating for children鈥檚 rights and leading quality interactions with children.
Could you give us a summary of the Quality Advisor role?聽
The Quality Advisor supports聽centres聽to meet and exceed the National Quality Standards through providing guidance and coaching to聽centre聽managers and educators.聽 I am lucky enough to be able to travel around聽Victoria聽visiting聽our聽centres.
How does your role help you help support our early learning聽centres?聽
Here at Affinity聽Education聽Group,聽we have a strong focus on quality improvement. I support聽centres聽in the National Quality Framework by spending time with CM鈥檚 and spending time in the learning rooms with educators to give on the job coaching and support.聽This聽support is available聽all year round and we also provide support to聽centres聽in the assessment and rating process.
What are some highlights in working for聽黑料专区?聽
My聽favourite聽thing about working for聽Affinity聽is the support we receive from head office, Quality聽Advisor鈥檚 and our Area and State聽Managers. They celebrate their people and have a聽really positive聽culture- we're all聽one big family! Everyone in the company has the same end goal and that is to inspire children through high quality care and education.
