It鈥檚 everyone鈥檚 job to protect children. This year聽黑料专区聽is聽teaming up with Bravehearts to take the pledge to protect children.
This year Bravehearts are launching their 23rd annual聽聽to coincide with the completion of聽, a NAPCAN initiative to put children first.
White Balloon Day falls on Friday September 6 this year and Bravehearts founder Hetty Johnston is calling on community members to show their commitment to child protection by signing the聽.
鈥淭hey say it takes a village to raise a child and the same goes for protecting them,鈥� Ms Johnston said.
础迟听聽we stand behind this belief and actively promote it through our聽聽which works to develop emotional confidence, social connectivity and appreciation within young children.
鈥淭he Early Years Learning Framework Belonging, Being and Becoming is at the heart of our Healthy Families events and activities. These are designed to strengthen the bonds between our childcare centre, the local community and families,鈥� says Education Consultant Jesser Essex.
鈥淐hildren at Lifelong Learning Centre not only learn how they benefit, but more importantly, how they can positively contribute to their family and local community.鈥�
We actively stand behind White Balloon Day鈥檚 key message that it鈥檚 not solely the responsibility of parents and grandparents and that Teachers and Police Officers can only do so much. It鈥檚 important that when it comes to child safety, everyone plays their part.
To tie in with the theme that it鈥檚 everyone鈥檚 job to protect children, many of our centres will be hosting an occupational dress-up day. This will enable children to have a bit of fun with their wardrobe, while also opening up a teaching opportunity where our Educators can explain why child protection is important for everyone.
