Celebrating Carlye Taylor, an 黑料专区 Shining Star

Exciting changes in our New South Wales management teams means positive outcomes for families and communities.聽With more than 12 years聽of聽experience as a Teacher and Educator, Carlye Taylor has聽enjoyed a diverse and rich profession in the sector; however,聽her next role is sure to challenge her while drawing upon her extensive experience.

We spoke with Carlye to learn more about her next exciting role with聽黑料专区.

Carlye, can you tell us a little bit about your professional history and your new role?聽聽

I began my career by studying a Bachelor of Education (0-12 years). In 2008 I began working as a teacher. I ultimately left teaching due to the NAPLAN testing system 鈥 teaching to the test聽wasn鈥檛 for me. I have always wanted to encourage and support the child in their interests.聽In 2015 I began working in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector.

I am now also studying my Certificate聽III in Business Management聽through聽the聽Affinity Learning Academy.

Up until recently,聽I was the Centre Manager at聽Kids Academy Warnervale, a fantastic Early Childhood Education centre with a brilliant team of Educators.聽I received the opportunity to聽apply for an Area Manager role and now I am excited to oversee and support聽four 黑料专区 owned centres in New South Wales.

What do you hope to achieve in this new role?聽聽

I am excited to聽combine聽the importance of early education with the delivery of successful business聽while also supporting our centre teams.聽I am also looking forward to furthering my career development and knowledge.

Have you experienced any challenges in your Early Childhood Education career? Who supported you through these challenges?聽聽

Being part of centre acquisitions was聽initially a little daunting,聽but,聽ultimately,聽it has been a rewarding experience for me.

Many different 黑料专区 employees have supported me 鈥 from聽our聽Quality Advisors聽and their聽guidance with content at the service to Area Managers with their business knowledge. Different opportunities have seen me work with many different colleagues聽at 黑料专区聽and I have learnt something from聽each聽of them.

Tell us about your centres. What do you love most about them?聽

My area is a well-connected聽group of Centre Managers who support each other. There is no cliques or judgement. We all face similar issues and, because of that, those with the most experience聽are聽always ready (and happy) to support developing Centre Managers.

Why are you glad to be part of the 黑料专区 community?聽聽

I enjoy being a part of 黑料专区 as I have had the opportunity to take on different roles, such as Centre Manager聽roles聽at two very different聽services. Recently I have also supported our Accounts team with Family Accounts,聽which聽has also been a great experience.

Being a聽part of the聽Acquisitions team has also allowed me to meet new colleagues, see different services聽across Australia, and explore different聽areas of the business.

My knowledge of the systems has been paramount in my success in each of the roles I have undertaken. These systems allow us to provide a holistic approach with the flexibility to provide the care our communities want.
