Meet Our Kincumber Early Learning Team
My name is Tamika Thackray, and I鈥檓 proud to be the Acting Centre Manager at The Beach Early Learning Centre Kincumber. With over 7 years of experience in early childhood education and a Diploma qualification, I am passionate about creating a nurturing and supportive environment where every child feels a true sense of belonging.
What I love most about working in this industry is building meaningful relationships with children and families. It鈥檚 incredibly rewarding to support each child as they grow, develop, and gain confidence through play. Watching children explore, discover new skills, and reach their milestones each day is what continues to inspire me.
At our centre, we place a strong focus on play-based learning, creating experiences that reflect each child鈥檚 interests, strengths, and development. Our goal is to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to explore the world around them in their own unique way.
We鈥檙e also proud of our veggie gardens, where children can learn about sustainability and caring for the environment, as well as our strong connections with local primary and high schools, helping foster a sense of community and support children as they grow.
We鈥檙e excited for the future as we continue to enhance our outdoor spaces with an upcoming yard upgrade, creating even more opportunities for children to play, explore, and thrive.
